Exercise for the Elderly

Exercise prescription becomes increasing important as we age in order to maintain musculoskeletal status, improve cardiac and cardiorespiratory fitness and prevent instability of movement.

We have an extensive "falls prevention" program whereby we place huge emphasis on balance and proprioception as well as kinaesthetic awareness.

We also endeavour to remove fear from basic activities of daily living so that our older clients strive to enjoy their day to day tasks and have great quality of life.

Adding elements of fun by setting personal challenges assists in keeping individuals motivated and continually improving their physical status.

All of our programs are matched to the capacity of the individual with a consistently progressive regime in mind.
