Paladin, Wessels & Demartinis Biokineticists (PWD) St George's Rd Bedfordview Justin Fiddes is the resident Biokineticist at PWD Biokineticists PWD Biokinetics opened its doors in July 2011. It is situated at Bishop Bavin School in Bedfordview where it has been providing Biokinetics services to all in the Bedfordview/Edenvale areas. PWD Biokineticists utilises exercise as the main therapeutic modality where we encompass orthopaedic rehabilitation (strengthening of muscles to protect joints during both sport and activities of daily living) and total wellness (lifestyle and stress management). Our patients/athletes can expect a comprehensive individualised assessment to determine muscle imbalances and weakness, inflexibility, instability or reduced co-ordination. A specific strength and exercise programme is then prescribed, aimed toward the improvement of function and quality of life or performance of our patients/athletes. Our focus with exercise rehabilitation with our patients is one-on-one interaction helping them to return to their prior level of functionality and to achieve their maximum potential. Scope of PWD practice: • Management of muscle strains, ligament sprains, repetitive strain injuries and joint instability through a combination of strengthening, stability & flexibility exercises. • Pre- & post surgery rehabilitation. • Core & pelvic stabilisation. • Low muscle tone management in children & teenagers. • Movement education & body awareness. • Deep tissue sports massage. • Video analysis & biomechanical posture correction. • Sports specific testing. | Justin Fiddes  Justin obtained his undergraduate degree in Sport Communication at The University of Johannesburg and completed his Biokinetics Honours Degree at The University of the Witwatersrand. He is an exercise and sports enthusiast with great interest in football and running. He enjoys working with both orthopaedic and chronic disease patients of all ages with special interest in spinal cord and nerve related injuries and conditions. His passion lies with promoting maximal functionality in individuals of all severities. Justin is the resident Biokineticist at the PWD Biokinetics Practice situated at Bishop Bavin School in Bedfordview He is passionate about his work.
